Cybercrime
prevention act of 2012 is a needed tool in our fast moving modern society, this
generation saw the spike of crime statistics not just in the street but to the
internet as well. This law in its little way deters a criminal act aimed to the
cyber community, thus protecting our online activity and our loved ones.
Are you not afraid of the libel clause?

the Libel clause is just a reminder for the cyber community to be more cautious
and responsible netizens!

why so?
Cybercrime
prevention act of 2012 has its own strong points like section 4 c 1 the cybersex
as well as the section 4 c 2 or the cyber pornography. These sections ensure
the safety of our family to the cyber “peeping tom “and cyber pedophiles! A cyber-criminal
will think twice before continuing with its carnal habits in the online world.
However,
section 4 c 5 is debatable, in my own opinion it curtail my freedom to voice
out what I believe is right and just! Our constitution guaranty that rights
(freedom) it is like pointing a gun in your head while you write or post an
article online. Other than this provision, I do believe Cybercrime Prevention
Act of 2012 is a gold mine especially for parents with children/family who are
active in cyberspace.
.:: Bangsamoro Peace Deal
Have you heard about the Bangsamor Peace Deal with the Philippine Government?
Yes I saw it on
the news.
Do you think with the signing of the peace deal we can now have a
peaceful country(Mindanao)?
I
would like to believe that!
However,
my concern is does it mean Mindanao shall be a separate state? Or, will it in
the future seek more than autonomy and clone what the Taiwanese have done? and be
another country? If that’s the case then I think we’re just prolonging more the
ordeal of our brothers down south. I just hope that it would not be another Sabah
mistake!
But
I’m still optimistic with the peace deal it’s a wait see scenario now.

Crimes
committed by so-called minors today are actually the ones punishable under our
revised penal code. The moral fiber of our society is weakening faster than we
expected as a result more delinquent brazenly commit crimes and proudly cite
the Juvenile Justice and Welfare act as their ticket to liberty. I do believe that
it is high time to act on how we deal with offenders be it minor or adult. If it
is a minor then why don’t we built a facility that will cater minors for crimes
they committed, not just housed them at DSWD’s center time and time again we
see this kind of scenarios let’s fix while it’s still malleable enough to
correct.

need to give them more love and care so they would not commit any crimes in the
future.
Our facilities is more than
adequate to cater to these young and fragile minds let them be guided and
educated for the society they belong.
